Around 7pm I got a call from this number, but when I picked up, nobody said a word. I rang the number back and was greeted by an automated message claiming to be from the Highways Agency, East Regional Traffic Centre. It said they'd call me if it was important but I couldn’t leave a message. When I looked up the official contact on their website, the phone number was completely different. Not sure if this was just a nuisance call, but it definitely left me feeling uneasy since no one was actually there to talk to.

It appears to be a highways firm of some sort. I can only surmise that they must have misdialled, as we found ourselves stranded on the M40 when they called my mobile. However, when we attempted to return the call, all we got was their voicemail system. Quite the inconvenience, really!
