I found myself conversing with a young woman sporting a Scouse accent, who began probing about any ailments I might have encountered during my recent holiday. However, her phone connections left much to be desired, rendering her words rather jumbled. When I brought this to her attention, all I received in response was a rather exaggerated huffing noise through the receiver. I advised her to tweak her microphone or perhaps the mouthpiece to improve the clarity. To my surprise, she promptly ended the call. A shame, to be honest, as I had indeed been unwell while away on my trip last summer!
