Our phone number was misused by scammers on 19th July 2019 who claimed there was a £600 charge on a Visa card and told people to press # - a total scam, obviously. Remember, these crooks often spoof numbers using software, so calls can seem to come from anywhere. We've been unfairly targeted with loads of calls, some pretty rude, from folks who don’t get how it all works. From 20th July 2019, it seems the scammers switched to a different number to carry on their tricks.

Our number was used by fraudsters on 19th July 2019 - these scammers can disguise their calls to show any number they choose. We got a message about £600 being taken from your account, but it was actually the scammers pretending to be us. Loads of people have contacted us, some quite rude, thinking we were behind the calls. The truth is, it was all done by an automated scam system run by fraudsters. Looks like the scammers have now switched to someone else's number because we haven’t had any calls since around 10pm on 20th July. We’re just innocent victims here.

Someone rang me saying £600 had been withdrawn from my account, I just hung up and reported it straight away.

Somebody called saying £600 had been taken from my bank account and told me to press 6 to fix it. I just hung up straight away and deleted the message.

Just got a call from one of those fake Visa/Mastercard security people again.
