Got a random call from RVA surveyors trying to pitch business rates appeals. Didn’t ask for it, just rang out of the blue.

On the 24th Jan 2018, I got a call from someone saying there was an overpayment I should know about. Felt dodgy right away. When I asked for his name, he said 'Danny'. I mentioned he had already rung me on a booking number before. Next thing, he just cuts off the call!

Got a call from someone claiming they were with RVA. They told me there was some kind of error and that we’d supposedly paid too much. We’ve got small business relief so we don’t pay anything at all, so I’m pretty sure this was just a scam.

Was called by someone asking about my business info, sounded dodgy to me. Beware, might be a scam by Danny Derbyshire or something like that!

A bloke called claiming to be Danny from RVA, saying he wanted to chat about our business rates and that we were being overcharged. I got suspicious straight away and asked if he could send something in writing about it. When he couldn’t, I told him I’d ring back and then just ended the call. Definitely a scam in my book.
