What a complete rip-off these so-called business rates reductions are! Seriously, it’s all just a load of nonsense.

Got a call from a company claiming they can lower our business rates, which is just like the loads of calls I get all the time. We once tried one of those services, spent some money, and instead of saving, our rates actually ended up higher. This latest lot even had the nerve to ring us again after I flat out said no the first time. They've been added to my blacklist now.

Got a call from a company hitting up small businesses saying you qualify for some kind of business rates discount. Told them straight up, even though I’ve already got all my discounts sorted, they won’t find me anything extra. Seems like they’re just after a fee for doing nothing new. Totally not worth it.
