I got a random call from someone saying they were from Northumberland County Council, saying they needed to install a switch on my electric meter. I hadn't heard anything about this even though there's quite a bit of construction happening nearby. I rang the council myself to check if this was legit, and they’re looking into it now. To be fair, the company did tell me to double-check with the council before going ahead with anything.

They kept ringing me up over and over, like three calls back to back, even after I just hit ignore. Really annoying!

I got a call from a number saying they work for Sheffield City Council, some firm called WATES. They said they need to fit an isolator switch or something. Has anyone else had this? Not sure if it’s legit or a scam. They’re supposed to come round tomorrow morning to install it, but I’m a bit iffy about letting them in. Thinking of double checking with the council first to be safe.
