Somebody rang me, claiming to be from my internet company. They asked how many lights were blinking on my modem. Then they told me to switch it off, so I played along for a bit. After a while, they caught on I was mucking about and just ended up hanging up!

I keep getting calls like 5 times a day from people pretending to be 'TalkTalk', telling me my internet's rubbish or that I need to unplug my router or something. It's so annoying!! Can anyone tell me if there's a way to block these calls for good?

Ugh, I can't stand these calls from this number anymore. They keep saying they're from TalkTalk or Microsoft security - always some call centre with an Asian person using English names, trying to "fix" my internet or something. Sometimes they don't even say a word. Got three calls from them just this morning! It's driving me mad. Seriously, someone needs to block this number for good!

Totally get where you all are coming from. Joining the TPS didn’t stop these scam calls one bit. Ever since I switched to TalkTalk, the issues have just escalated. I’ve been getting calls from 01782 and loads of other numbers I didn’t bother noting down. Honestly thinking about ditching the landline altogether once my contract ends.

Loads of calls from this number, saying they're from TalkTalk and even using my name and address. They tell me there's some dodgy stuff happening on my router. I knew it was a scam, so I told them I'd get in touch with TalkTalk myself. When I rang TalkTalk, they had no idea about any problem. I tried calling the number back, and an automated message said the voicemail was full. Feels like they just rent a voicemail to trick people into picking up.

Got a call at 9.04 this morning, some bloke saying he was from TalkTalk. He told me to unplug my router, but I just laughed and told him it was a scam ’cause my internet's working fine. Then he just hung up. The line was awful, too. I’m really fed up with these TalkTalk calls - they come almost every day when I’m at home or working remotely. Probably even when I’m in the office. Is there any way to actually stop them? I know I can block numbers, but they always ring from a new one. Properly knackered with it all! :(

Got two calls this morning claiming to be from Talktalk. The first one just cut off without saying much. The second caller actually knew my name and said something about my Talktalk account. When I asked for his contact number, he ended the call right away. I've blocked that number using BT Call Protect now.

This number keeps ringing me constantly over the past week. I never pick up calls from unknown numbers now. After reading what others have said about it, I'm definitely not responding. I've blocked it already - just another one to add to the growing blocked list! I’m signed up with the Telephone Preference Service and have been for ages, but it feels pointless since these calls keep slipping through. Even though my number is ex-directory, it doesn't seem to stop them either!

Loads of numbers like this one keep ringing my home phone, claiming to be from TalkTalk. There's this Asian-accented person saying there's been suspicious or unauthorised stuff happening with my broadband account. I just put the phone down straight away because whenever I say I'll ring TalkTalk myself to verify, they get dodgy. How come these stolen TalkTalk details are still being used all this time? Makes me wonder if I should just change my internet provider. Feels like being a loyal customer doesn’t count for much!

It’s definitely a scam. I don’t get why the police aren’t stepping in if it’s really that number causing trouble. Plus, if these scammers can fake calls so easily, why are companies like BT and TalkTalk allowing it to go on? They should be doing way more to stop this nonsense.

I’ve just blocked another number, bringing my total to about 10 blocked contacts - I think that’s the most you can do. They keep calling my landline early in the morning, usually between 8:30 and 10, pretending to be from Talk Talk. I’ve reported each call to Talk Talk before, giving them the exact time, date, and phone number used. They say they’ll forward it to their fraud team, but I wonder if they ever actually catch anyone. I’m planning to send over my updated list of numbers to Talk Talk later today.

Got a call from someone saying they're with my internet provider, even dropped the actual company name. They said they needed to check my router and even had my address details. When I asked for some sort of proof they're legit, the line just went dead. Would say steer clear or just block them.

Today, I got a call from this number and some bloke named ‘David’ with an Asian accent said he was ringing from TalkTalk, my internet provider. I ended up hanging up on him, then tried calling back but the voicemail said the mailbox was full. Definitely not TalkTalk then.

This number keeps ringing me up and using an old name of mine, claiming to be from TalkTalk. The call sounds like it’s coming from a busy call centre with loads of background noise. They tell me there’s been some risky download detected on my router, but i just hang up straight away. Routers don’t even work like that, you can’t download stuff to them.

I just got a call from someone claiming to be TalkTalk saying my internet had some weird activity. They actually knew my full name and address. When I told them I’m not with TalkTalk and wasn’t interested in talking, they just ended the call. Really creepy that they had all my info like that.
