I received a call out of the blue on my phone number.

I just received a phone call from some con artists pretending to discuss a loan application that I never put in. Utter rubbish! I haven’t sought out any loans at all. It’s clearly a dodgy scheme!

It's really frustrating getting these spam calls from people trying to scam anyone stressed about money. Honestly, it's such a horrible thing to pull - I can't imagine what their mums must think of them, probably not much good.
