So I picked up after this weirdly long silence, then some bloke's robotic voice said stuff I couldn’t make out and just ended call on me. Honestly, if these bots could just cut it short and drop the call before even ringing, that'd be a proper improvement.

I got a call from someone claiming they were from a housing repairs support service, but then they switched to WhatsApp and started asking loads of questions about my rental property. They were even using the logo of a real UK firm, which made it hard to tell if it was legit or not. Not quite sure what their angle was, but I’d definitely be cautious with these sorts of calls.

Not quite sure what their game was. Got a call from someone claiming to be from the Council and housing association about a leak at my home (which I own, but I didn’t say that). When I admitted I did have a leak, the caller said they'd put me through to the right department. I got connected to a guy who sounded exactly like the first caller. He then asked what the issue was, so I mentioned the shower was leaking just to see where it was heading. He asked when I’d reported it to the Council, I said about three weeks ago, and then he just hung up. I couldn’t make sense of the whole thing, but I’m pretty sure they were fishing for personal info. Worrying to think they might have come up with a new trick to swipe your data just by keeping you on the line!
