Got a weird call out of the blue asking about how I was feeling. When I tried to find out who they were calling for, they just went dead silent. They started off by saying “you feeling alright today?” like they wanted me to say yes or something. I just ended the call - definite scam if you ask me.

I got a call from a bloke trying to sell me a personal alarm. He asked if I was the person handling the accounts or money stuff. I decided not to answer, and then he just hung up on me.

Some bloke kept bothering me, wouldn't stop calling. Bit awkward coz he couldn't really explain himself properly. I told him straight up he was ripping people off, but not in those exact words. I reckon the real issue is the government letting these lot sell people’s details without asking first. It’s a right mess.

And then he had the nerve to mention "at your age" like I'm some old wreck or something! Proper rude, that one.

There were loads of awkward silences like he was flicking through notes. When I asked again who he worked for, he just replied with “great, you’re in control.” I told him he’d got the wrong number and ended the chat there.

So I’m in contact centre work, and I got a call today that seemed like it was one of those pre-recorded messages where they leave space for you to reply. I cracked a joke, but after that, there was this awkward pause and then suddenly they asked me a question that had nothing to do with what I said. The number was 01704, by the way. Really odd experience.
