They sound like they've got an Indian accent, so I doubt they’re really in the UK. Most likely they’re calling through some proxy server or services like that, which is probably somewhere in the country but not their real location. It’s obvious these scammers want your bank or credit card info, they’ll act all proper and legit. But if you ask to meet up with them, they’ll just blag something or come up with rubbish excuses about Covid rules, saying they can’t see clients in person yet.

I’ve been getting calls from loads of different numbers from this company called Benificial. I kept blocking them but every time I asked to speak with a manager. Eventually, some bloke who said he was the manager answered but he was no use at all and just started blaming me. I got pretty annoyed and told him under GDPR they’ve got to take my number off their list. Then he threatened me saying I’d be getting calls every single day just because I wouldn’t listen!

Helpful in a sense. The caller already knew where I live and kept trying to guess my age by asking stuff like “are you under 50?” then “between 25 and 50?” I ended up hanging up, told them I wasn’t going to waste time giving info that might get shared with others.
