I’ve since blocked his number, as it struck me as rather odd how much personal info he had. Makes me curious about where they dug up that database!

As soon as I picked up, there was that awkward silence that gave it away. They were trying to find out about our life insurance plans to see if they would fit us. I wasn’t about to hand over any of that info. We’ve signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, so whoever this was just isn’t paying attention to that.

The person on the phone actually knew my name which caught me off guard. They mentioned the reason for the call a couple of times but had such a thick accent that I couldn’t make out what they were saying at first. Eventually, I figured out she was talking about Life Insurance. Then she started asking if I smoke, and when I asked her why she wanted to know that, she just hung up.
