I got a call from some automated voice pretending to be BT, telling me there was unusual activity and if I didn’t do something my phone service would be disconnected. They suggested I press a number to call back. This sounds like either one of those scams where they get you to ring a premium rate number, or where they grab your phone digits to flood you with more scam calls later on.

Got a call from someone claiming to be BT Openreach about problems with my internet or router. They started with “Hello Dennis, how are you?” and then just dropped the call. Never actually told them I had issues, so looks like another scam trying to catch me out.
