01704547429 Ring ring, this call claimed to be from Microsoft Home Security, warning about some malware supposedly on my computer and my IP sending bad signals to their servers. They asked me to open my laptop so they could guide me through sorting it out. It felt dodgy to me. I ran my own virus scans and found nothing suspicious at all. I told the caller I'd double-check the number to see if it was legit and asked them to ring me back in about 10 minutes. Tried calling the number afterwards, but no luck - the number didn’t appear to be genuine or recognised. Definitely seemed like a scam to me.
