I called back a number I saw missed, and straight away some fella got on the phone, insisting they never rang me, then just cut me off. Thing is, that number already showed up on my phone, so definitely had given me a ring. That’s when I decided to check it out further here.

My partner spotted this number on a Facebook group before - people were warning about some sort of scam connected to it. Seems like these dodgy calls are now shifting their targets towards the south east coast area.

So this number called me earlier and when I picked up, there was just a brief pause, then some weird beep, and total silence after that - I ended the call straight away. This isn’t the first time they've rung me though; once, someone pretending to be from Amazon used a robotic voice to say my prime account was going to be charged about £90. Don’t click any links they send, it’s almost definitely a scam. I hung up right away when I heard that. Luckily, no money was taken from my prime account by the date they mentioned, which just backs up that it was all bogus.

Got a call from 01704507318 and this robotic voice was going on about my amazon prime subscription needing paying, £99.99 or something - said to press 1 to speak to someone. Total scam, since I don't even use amazon prime! Pressing 1 would just cost a bomb! I just let them chat away and ignored it. Eventually they hung up, but at least they're the ones paying for the call, not me!
