Got a call on my home phone, not my mobile, and as soon as I answered, a recorded message started talking about “your internet” or something like that. I don’t even use internet through a phone line, got cable instead. So I just ended the call and blocked the number. The caller ID showed 01704, which is from Southport in Merseyside, but that doesn’t give me much confidence. I made sure to hang up before it could get to any option like “press 1,” which I’ve heard is definitely a trap. Feels like one of those scammy calls to avoid for sure.
