Some bloke named Rob rang my missus saying she’d been in some accident and could get compensation. (Which she definitely hasn’t.) Even after we told him we were away on holiday and she was trying to catch some sleep before a long drive, he just kept pestering her, being really rude and pushy. She had no choice but to be blunt back and end the call. What a prat!

He kept askin for the date of the accident but I had no idea, so I just told him to jog on and not to bother ringin me again. Then he called back from the same number, going off about puttin my number online and called me a fat c##t! Proper classy, that lot. No chance I’ll be dealin with them again, that’s for sure!

Got a call from Albany saying I'd been in an accident sometime in the last couple of years. But I haven't! The woman sounded really professional and courteous, saying this company was partnering with the government and that there’s definitely some money set aside for me to collect. I can understand how it might tempt someone to share their details.

I keep receiving calls from the number 01704 222222; they now refer to themselves as ACA, rather than their previous name, Albany Assist!
I had quite a lengthy chat with them regarding a car accident we had about a year ago. Just last week, a lady from Liverpool (when they were still Albany Assist!) asked if we had received an interim payment, to which I replied that we hadn't received anything. I instructed her to call back the following day for any further information from my husband. However, she failed to ring at the agreed time. Yet today, here she is again, going on about the accident! This time, however, I was forewarned and told her my husband was unavailable. When I asked for her name and contact number, she gladly provided the aforementioned digits! An absolute nonsense, if you ask me. I can only imagine what they might ask for next - perhaps my banking info? Not a chance! They won’t be getting that and there will be no further conversations with them.

Just a heads up, Albany Assistance isn’t linked to the calls some folks are getting from someone calling themselves Albany Assist (or something similar). It seems these calls are trying to trick people into giving info about road accidents and injuries to the driver or passengers. We’ve let the police and the right agencies know about this, but please make sure to report any suspicious calls you get too. This number called me saying I’d been in a little fender bender. When I asked the woman to explain what happened, she just went silent. I ended up ringing the police, and they advised me to report it to trading standards.

We're working closely with police and regulators to track down these fraudulent callers. Big thanks to everyone who’s been helping us by reporting these annoying calls. This number rang me while I was driving, so I couldn't pick up. I’m pretty sure it’s the same one that has called me a couple times before asking if I’d had any accidents in the past two years. They’ve given me a bell a couple of times now. I finally picked up and it was a young lass with a Scouse accent inquiring about my husband using his first name. Number hidden, claimed to be from Albany Assistance, told me I’d been in a recent crash (totally made up). I had an intriguing call earlier today (28th January 2015) from the number 01704222222, purportedly representing Albany Assist, and it was directed to one of my business mobiles.

The phone started ringing, so I picked it up.
Caller - May I have a word with ***** ******, please? (Noted a strong Liverpudlian accent)
Me - Who might I be speaking to?
Caller - This is Albany Assist concerning an incident.
Me - Incident? What incident are you referring to?
Caller - Mumbled something indistinctly
Me - Could you please articulate that a bit better? I didn't quite catch it.
Caller - Oh for goodness’ sake, and then abruptly hung up.

I’ve made sure to report this to the appropriate authorities.

I received a call from someone insisting I’m due compensation from a car crash - very dodgy. Apparently, this Hadley Hughes fella from Southport is behind it, claiming to represent some accident advisory group. Strangely, the FCA hasn’t a clue who these people are, nor do they have a proper registration number. Shocking, isn't it? They ought to be thrown behind bars for this nonsense. They clearly need to rethink their career choices!

I’m in a bit of a pickle with these chaps who keep ringing me up, insisting that I’ve been involved in some sort of accident. It’s rather bothersome, and their attitude leaves a lot to be desired. Absolutely, beware of this number! It claims to be based in Southport, but don’t be deceived - it’s actually my former employer’s number, and that place is just a vacant office now! These chancers are nothing but fraudsters, pushing dodgy personal injury claims and nuisance premiums that are completely bogus. They lure you in, make you think you’re onto something good, only to swindle money from you. You’re left with little to show for it, while they pocket your cash. It’s all just a ridiculous call centre scam! Stay sharp and don’t fall for their tricks!

I must say, the whole situation seems utterly farcical. Those so-called premiums are nothing but a ruse; there’s no money that’s actually owed. It appears to be two blokes having a laugh at our expense while they inflate costs for the insurance company to ridiculous levels. And don’t even get me started on this so-called 'inconvenience fund'-it's a total myth! Mark Jessop and David Nelson really ought to get their act together. The cherry on top? They manage to siphon off £400 just for a medical check-up, but you end up pocketing a mere £600, which takes you right back to square one! What a right mess! 😊

I keep getting calls from this 0161 814 number and a few others, some company named Harrington Brooks saying I have unpaid loans, credit cards and overdrafts which I definitely don’t have.

I've heard whispers that Albany Assist is under the dodgy management of two rather unsavoury characters, David Nelson and Mark Jessop. It’s about time we tracked down this company and pushed for some serious accountability! Let’s shine a light on their actions and make sure they’re brought to justice!

Despite having my number registered to avoid marketing calls, I'm bombarded with at least five of them daily. No matter how often I ask them to cease calling, they just won't take the hint! It's incredibly frustrating!

About three months back, I had a rather unexpected phone call from a firm called Albany Assist. The woman on the line claimed there was a sum of approximately £1800 earmarked for me, supposedly a premium linked to a previous accident that wasn’t my fault. Initially, I was quite dubious about the legitimacy of her words, especially given some of the reviews I'd encountered on this site. Nevertheless, I chose to pursue the claim regarding the Discomforts Premium, despite my hesitations. Fast forward to just last week, I actually received the payment for the premium- so it took around 11 weeks from that initial chat. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone who might be in a similar situation to seize any funds they’re rightly owed!

I recently received a call on my late brother's mobile, and before I picked up, I thought it wise to do a quick search here. I'm immensely grateful for all the insights shared about these unscrupulous firms; they really ought to be shut down for good! I've added the number to my Reject List for the time being, until I'm able to permanently deactivate my brother's phone. Many thanks to all!

Kept them guessing since I've not made a claim in two decades! When I pressed her for details, she just cut me off! Honestly, it was quite satisfying to fritter away their time, just as they do with ours!

Somebody from 01704222222 rang me and got my name completely wrong. I told him so, asked him to take me off their list and ended the call. Then the same bloke called again and left a nasty voicemail, calling me a “t***ing d***head” and an idiot. Not the kind of call you’d want, really. I’m trying to lodge an official complaint but the only suggestion I’ve had is to report it to the police. Honestly, I’m seriously considering it!

I received a call from this number, and the chap on the other end used my maiden name instead of my married one. I mentioned it to him and requested to be removed from their list. At the time, I also had a newborn wailing away in the background, emphasising that it wasn’t exactly the best moment for a chat. Unfortunately, that same gentleman had the audacity to ring back and leave me a rather foul-mouthed voicemail, questioning whether being a "complete idiot" was something I’ve always excelled at or if it was merely a hobby. He even went as far as to label me an "utter fool." I’m keen to identify the company behind these calls-does anyone have any clues?

Just like everyone else seems to be saying, I’ve received a call with a Scouse accent inquiring about some mishap and a sum of cash that’s apparently due to me. They mentioned needing to provide some third-party information to proceed with this claim. I can’t help but wonder what their endgame is with all of this?

I reckon they've called me around twenty times this week! Just got a new phone and finally figured out how to block a number. Honestly, these pesky callers are driving me bonkers!

I've received several calls from this number lately, so I've gone ahead and added it to my block list. Now, I won’t be getting any more of their cheeky attempts to reach me. It seems like they’re just preying on that one unsuspecting soul who might fall for their ruse. It's utterly daft!

I just had a call from them and wasn't inclined to be polite, so I told them to get lost before hanging up. Next thing, the chap rang me again and left a charming little voicemail saying, “who do you reckon you're speaking to, you tosser.” Such delightful individuals, aren't they?

0161 814 2026 called me, said they were from ALBANY ASSURED and claimed I had a little accident in the past two years, which is total nonsense. When I asked for more details, they just hung up on me. They gave me another number 01704 222222 to ring back. Its a complete fake company, dont give them any info!!

I've had numerous calls from a company calling themselves Assure Legal. They've given me their number, which I've reported to the Telephone Preference Service. It's the same old nonsense that others have mentioned - claiming that I was involved in an accident two years back and that I’m owed some cash I haven't claimed. I decided to keep them on the phone for as long as I could to tie up their time and hopefully prevent someone else from falling for their childish tactics.

I just received a call from this number, and they were inquiring about someone who shares my surname. Apparently, there's an ongoing investigation into Identity Theft involving this individual! When I tried to get more details, they abruptly cut the line. I attempted to return the call, but it rang out with either no answer or was engaged. I reckon I'll share this information with the police unless I'm able to reach them again.

For an entire week now, I've been pestered daily by this number. Today, when I inquired with the caller, who claimed to be "Jessica," about the purpose of her call, I was met with a rather charming response: she told me to f*** off in no uncertain terms. How lovely! Surely there's a method to put an end to these irritating calls, as they truly are a right bother.

I've had a staggering 14 calls from this number (01704222222) over the past three days, with the most recent one coming through just five minutes ago. I've relayed to them, just like countless others seem to have done, that I haven’t been in any accidents whatsoever and requested they erase any details they might hold about me. As has happened with many, they just hung up on me.

I received a call from a young lady named Chloe, hailing from Albany Assist, regarding an accident I supposedly experienced in the past two years. I politely informed her that I hadn't been involved in any accident and requested that she take my number off her list. To my surprise, she simply said "No" and then just cut the line! What a complete waste of my time!

This number just rang me and stupidly I shared a bit of info! Not anything too private, just a small detail about a knock I got quite a while back. They mentioned someone will be phoning me tomorrow. Should I be telling someone about this or just ignore it???

I received a rather peculiar call today on my private home landline from someone who only identified herself as "Danielle," sporting a strong Liverpool accent. She claimed to be phoning from "Assured Legal" regarding a recent no-fault car accident I was involved in. I had indeed had an incident that led to an insurance claim a few months back, and this is now the third time I've been approached by various callers, each sporting a different company name. When I probe them for a contact number, they all bluntly provide the same one: 01704 222222. Oddly enough, if you attempt to ring them back, it invariably goes unanswered. After a chat with my insurance provider, Aviva, about how my personal details were potentially compromised in relation to my claim, I learned there’s an ongoing police investigation into a couple of ex-Aviva staff members reportedly selling client information. It seems we’ve found the likely recipients of that dubious information!

I received a phone call today from a chap inquiring about my husband. He identified himself as part of ALBANY ASSIST and claimed there was a compensation cheque pending for an accident my husband supposedly had 18 months ago. He gave me the number 01704 222222. I spoke to my husband about it, and he was completely baffled-he hasn’t had any sort of accident and certainly isn't expecting any payout! It's utterly ridiculous how some people choose to waste others' time like this!

I received a rather peculiar telephone call from a woman, asserting that there was a sum of at least £1800 awaiting me in the form of a cheque. All she required was the name of the individual behind the wheel during a minor accident I allegedly had back in June 2012. According to her, this money was meant to settle some legal fees owed to me. She mentioned a firm by the name of NAJ Legal, but the details simply don't match up. When I inquired why I hadn’t received any formal correspondence, she replied that they needed to ascertain whom to address the letter to. I told her I’d look into the matter and get back to her soon. However, she insisted on following up in a couple of days. The thing is, I’ve never been involved in any incident in June 2012, leaving me utterly baffled as to what their ploy might be!

Absolutely fantastic! I received a call from Albany Assist, and they were instrumental in helping me track down a claim I had the right to following a car accident. The process was completely straightforward, and lo and behold, the cheque landed on my doorstep in just a couple of weeks! Those who are calling this a scam are being overly cautious; they need to hear the company out! You could be missing out on a considerable sum of cash!

I received a call from someone purporting to be with Albany Assistance, insisting that I was entitled to £1800 in compensation related to an incident from a couple of years back. He introduced himself as Jonathan Rooney, and provided the number 01704-222222 as his point of contact. He mentioned that they would be sending over some paperwork and that I would need to undergo a medical assessment, after which a cheque would supposedly be dispatched in 8 to 12 weeks. Be extremely cautious and certainly refrain from sharing any personal details with this individual; it’s nothing but a con.

I received a call purporting to be from accident assistance regarding a no-fault claim from an incident that occurred over two years back. The caller mentioned that there’s a sum between £2,000 and £4,000 sitting in a trust fund waiting for me. However, he insisted that I needed to chat with a specialist to get any specific information. When I inquired about his identity, he provided a dubious number and seemed to get rather flustered. Quite the sketchy situation, if you ask me!
