Some bloke named Rob rang my missus saying she’d been in some accident and could get compensation. (Which she definitely hasn’t.) Even after we told him we were away on holiday and she was trying to catch some sleep before a long drive, he just kept pestering her, being really rude and pushy. She had no choice but to be blunt back and end the call. What a prat!

Just recently, I got a call from a woman named Dawn who spoke with a Scottish accent. She mentioned a third party claim we'd made a while back, which was supposedly settled already, but there was some money set aside for personal loss we hadn't claimed yet - so she said we needed to act quickly because the time to claim was running out. It was true that when we claimed for the car repair and the hire vehicle, we hadn’t asked for compensation for lost earnings since we’re self-employed. According to her, the payout could be about £1800, with them taking 25% for fees. They've been ringing nonstop asking for the details of the third party involved in the claim. They even said to set a password on the account so no one else could claim it, which I found odd. They've never requested our bank info and I'm not planning to give that out; if it’s real, they’d have to send a cheque instead. From now on, I’m calling this out as a scam.

Last week, a lady from Liverpool called when they were still Albany Assist and asked about a car crash we had last year. I told her we hadn’t had any interim payment, and asked her to call back the next day so my husband could provide more info. She never called back at the agreed time, but rang again today. She kept repeating questions about the accident, and I warned her my husband wasn’t available to talk. When I asked for her name and number, she gave me that same number without fuss. It feels a bit of a joke, like the next step will be asking for our bank details or something. They won’t be getting anything from me, and I’m done with these calls.

This girl rang up and wanted to speak to my wife by her first name. I told her she wasn’t here and this wasn’t her number, so I asked who she was. Then she just ended the call. They really should do something about all these annoying calls wasting our time. What they're doing must be against the law surely. How on earth do they manage to get hold of our details? I asked her who she was, but she didn’t answer and instead said something like, "This is my number, not his." Then she just dropped the call. Weird behaviour!

On 28th January 2015, one of my business mobiles got a call from 01704222222, with someone saying they were from Albany Assist. So the phone goes, I pick up and the person on the line asks for ***** ******, speaking with a woman’s Liverpudlian accent. I asked who was calling and she said it was about an accident - Albany Assist, apparently. I asked what accident she meant but all I got was some unclear muttering. When I asked her to say it again louder, she suddenly snapped and told me to "F**K off" before hanging up abruptly. I’ve passed this on to the right people for them to look into.

Got a call saying I’m due some money from a car crash compensation thing. Turns out Hadley Hughes, who’s meant to be from Southport and part of some accident advice group, is a total con. This number's a total scam. It claims to be based in Southport, but that’s not right - it’s actually the phone for an empty office from my old company! Don’t fall for these con artists with their personal injury claims or comfort payments, they’re all fake. They trick you into thinking it’s legit just to squeeze money out of you. You lose out big time, and they rake it in. Dodgy call centre full of lies!

these premiums arent legit, theres no money oweed, its just a couple of muppets making you believe there is. they push the 3rd party insurer to jack up prices loads, and then they try to fob you off with some made-up 'inconvenience fund' that doesnt exist at all. mark jessop and david nelson seriously need to get their act together! also, they charge you 400 quid just for some medical, then you get about 600 back in return, but in the end you’re basically no better off! :)

About three months back, I got a call from a company called Albany Assist. The woman on the other end told me I had roughly £1800 waiting to be claimed, related to some compensation from a previous no-fault accident. At first, I was quite doubtful, especially after reading some negative remarks online. Still, I decided to push ahead with the claim for what's called a Discomforts Premium. To my surprise, the payment came through last week, so it took around 11 weeks from that initial call. Honestly, if you ever get an offer like this, I’d say it’s worth pursuing and grabbing the money you’re entitled to.

I got a call on my late brother's phone the other day and hesitated before picking up, so I looked up the number here first. Somebody from 01704222222 rang me and got my name completely wrong. I told him so, asked him to take me off their list and ended the call. Then the same bloke called again and left a nasty voicemail, calling me a “t***ing d***head” and an idiot. Not the kind of call you’d want, really. I’m trying to lodge an official complaint but the only suggestion I’ve had is to report it to the police. Honestly, I’m seriously considering it!

This number rang me and the bloke on the phone used my old surname, not my married one. I told him about it and asked them to remove me from their calling list. I also mentioned there was a baby crying in the background, so it wasn’t really a great moment for a chat. Then guess what? The same guy called back and left a nasty voicemail, calling me a “f**king idiot” and asked whether I’ve always been that way or if it’s a hobby, also calling me an “utter moron”. I’m trying to find out which company is behind this. Anyone got any idea?

Then started chatting about a sum of money supposedly owed to me, which I could only get if I gave them details of a third party. What exactly are they hoping to gain from this?

0161 814 2026 called me, said they were from ALBANY ASSURED and claimed I had a little accident in the past two years, which is total nonsense. When I asked for more details, they just hung up on me. They gave me another number 01704 222222 to ring back. Its a complete fake company, dont give them any info!!

Loads of calls coming from these so-called Assure Legal folks. They supplied their number, which I reported to the TPS straight away. It's the usual nonsense like other people have said - something about an accident from a couple of years back and claiming some cash I'm supposedly due. I ended up keeping them chatting forever, just to annoy them a bit and hopefully stop them bothering anyone else with their daft antics.

Got a call from this number earlier, they wanted to speak to someone with my surname. Turns out that person is apparently under investigation for Identity Theft! When I tried to find out more, they just cut me off. Tried ringing back but no luck, either no reply or it was busy. Like loads of folks have mentioned before, I told them I wasn’t in any accident and asked them to erase my details from their records. Just like many others, they ended the call right away.

Today I got a call on my private home number from someone hiding their digits. The caller said her name was “Danielle” and had a scouse accent. She claimed to be ringing from “Assured Legal” about a no-fault car accident I'd been involved in recently. I actually did have a car accident a few months back that led to an insurance claim, so this was the third call I've had from different people using various company names. They all give the same phone number, 01704 222222, but when I tried ringing it back, no one ever picks up. I contacted my insurer, Aviva, to find out how they got my details and claim info. Apparently, there’s a police probe into two ex-Aviva workers who were caught selling customer data. Looks like this is where those calls are coming from!

Got a call from some bloke looking for my other half. Said his name was ALBANY ASSISIT and mentioned something about a no fault crash from like 18 months back. I got a call from a lady saying I had around £1800 ready for me as a cheque. She wanted to know who was driving my car during a small accident back in June 2012. Apparently, this cash was meant to cover some legal fees owed to me. She said the company was called NAJ Legal, but the number she gave doesn’t match up with the firm’s details. I asked why I hadn’t received a proper letter, and she said they needed to know who to send it to first. I told her I'd check into it and call back. She said she'd ring me again in a couple of days. Thing is, I never had any sort of crash that month, and honestly, I haven’t a clue what they’re actually after!

Absolutely spot on! I got a call from Albany assist about a claim I didn’t even realise I had after a car crash. They made sorting it out super easy, and I had the cheque through the letterbox in no time. Some folks shouting scam are just too quick to judge - give them a chance and you could be missing out on some decent cash!
