Had a call from 01704214887 show up on my home phone earlier today around 09:39 on a Sunday. The caller refused to pass the call screening, which is odd since otherwise the phone would’ve actually rung. After seeing what others said, I’ve blocked the number now. It’s really strange how these calls manage to appear as a proper UK number - seriously, someone should look into how they do it.

Got a call from a guy with a thick Indian accent claiming to be from BT Openreach. He said he knew my internet had been giving me trouble and offered to help fix it over the phone. I'd already got an email from BT warning about some service interruptions over the next few days. As soon as I mentioned that to him, he just hung up on me out of nowhere.

Some woman with an Indian accent called saying it was about my BT Router having problems with the signal. She wanted me to go onto some site called 'teamviewer', which is remote desktop stuff. I told her I wasn’t comfortable doing that and she got all grumpy, threatening to cut off my router!
