12th October 2020 Got this automated call saying it was Amazon telling me my £79.99 Prime subscription was up for renewal soon, and I could press 1 to talk to someone. Problem is, I don’t even have Amazon Prime! Didn’t press 1, obviously. Tried ringing the number back, which showed up as Southend-on-Sea on my phone, but no one answered. Seemed pretty dodgy to me.

I received a voicemail purporting to be from Amazon, stating that my Amazon Prime subscription was being automatically renewed. It instructed me to press 1 if I wished to converse with a representative. - 12th October 2020
