Got a call at my work from someone saying my deal with them was ending soon and wanted to sort it out straight away. Said they were from Eon Energy. It was a call centre, with Indian accents. Feels like they were fishing for my bank info or trying to see what they could get away with. The number showed a Southend area code, which is nearby, but when I tried ringing back, the number was dead. Sounds like they’ve got some gadget to fake the caller ID?
