So I got a call from John, the AI from the Driveway place. Had a little talk, and it’s pretty obvious it’s not actually a human on the other end. It’s all pre-recorded stuff reacting to what you say. Kind of tricky to give the right responses to keep up with it. Only bother if you feel like messing about and wasting their time. If you’re bored, why not?

In the past fortnight, this number has buzzed my phone five times. Finally, I picked up today, and it was a chap named John from the Driveway Centre. He was eager to pitch me a fancy drive refurbishment. Just to have a bit of fun, I quipped back, asking whether the deal came with a car park, considering I reside on the 10th floor of my flat (which is a complete fib, by the way!). He didn't quite appreciate my humour and hung up rather swiftly!

I chose not to pick up the phone, given that I receive a barrage of unsolicited and dodgy calls. After doing a bit of digging, I found out that this number hails from the Southend On Sea region and, lo and behold, it appears to be yet another nuisance call or a potential scam. It's such a shame that there's no way to silence these bothersome callers permanently. There’s always the risk that one day I'll miss an important call because of all this racket.
