So I got a call from John, the AI from the Driveway place. Had a little talk, and it’s pretty obvious it’s not actually a human on the other end. It’s all pre-recorded stuff reacting to what you say. Kind of tricky to give the right responses to keep up with it. Only bother if you feel like messing about and wasting their time. If you’re bored, why not?

This number has been calling me about five times over the past fortnight. I finally picked up today and it was a guy named John from something called Driveway Centre, trying to pitch a driveway makeover. I joked and asked if his offer covered a car park since I live way up on the tenth floor (which obviously I don't). Then he just hung up on me. Strange.

He asked me how long I'd had mine. I quickly told him I wasn’t interested and hung up. My phone had caught this number the day before, and this was the second time they'd called today. I picked up the second call thinking maybe it was someone from my family actually trying to get hold of me. Feels like a dodgy call to me - a bit of a break from the usual Amazon or solar panel sales pitches!

I ignored the call because I’m constantly getting spam and scam calls. Later, I looked up this number from Southend On Sea and it’s clearly one of those annoying nuisance calls.
