When you enquire, they just send you over to some site called BenefitsUK[###]. But if you dig a bit deeper, everything leads back to India, specifically to a couple named ARIJIT DEBNATH and PIYALI DEBNATH from Calcutta. These two run the companies that keep flooding us with annoying calls. You can even ring Arijit on +91 9163613045 - bet he’d be thrilled to get a few calls from folks here in the UK!

Number didn’t show up on BT Call Guardian, so I’m guessing it’s either some sort of scam or a call centre ringing. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Got a call earlier today from a woman with a thick Asian accent, who asked if I was the person they were trying to reach. When I asked who she was, she claimed to be from a firm dealing with nuisance calls. I told her to take my number off their list and never ring me again, but she refused. I just ended the call, said goodbye and blocked her number straight away.

They called me a few times a day, like 3 or 4, but everytime I tried to find out who it was, they just hung up on me. So I ended up using 1471 to check the number.

They said they were from some government supported dept linked with TPS. We all know TPS doesn't actually do anything, so there’s no way they'd ring me. After the old spiel, they tried to get my card info to ‘verify’ a DD or something. Seriously, do these people not realise a Direct Debit lasts indefinitely, nothing to do with your card or its expiry? I told them off good and proper, said they should apologise or just sod off straight to HELL.
