Received a call from a woman with a strong accent, introducing herself as Alicia, wanting to talk to 'Mrs Anderson'. I told her she must have dialled the wrong number since no one here goes by that name. When I asked who she was and what company she was from, she just repeated her name and then tried to get mine, which I didn’t share. After that, she became quite rude, so I ended the call and blocked the number straight away. The caller ID showed a Southend number, but it also said ‘international call’ on our phone screen.

Got a call from a UK number, but it popped up as an International Call on my phone. It was a woman wanting to talk to 'Mrs Anderson' - classic scammer trick with fake names. If my partner picks up, they usually ask for Mr Anderson instead. When I said no one with that name lived here, she asked for my name. I didn’t tell her, but I did ask hers - seemed to be Alicia. She got really hostile when I asked what company she was from, so I just ended the call and blocked the number.
