Got a call from someone saying they were with BT Openreach, same kinda message as the others here. I've probably had about 25 of these calls by now. Just ended the call straight away like I always do.

Got a call from a woman speaking with an Indian accent. She claimed that at around 3:40 in the morning, someone attempted to hack my PC and asked if I was aware of it. As expected, she said she was ringing from BT. I let her go on a bit until she asked if I knew hackers could steal all your info from your computer. I told her, yeah, I’m aware - and actually it sounds like you’re the one trying it. She didn’t like that and told me to bugger off.

I've been receiving numerous calls in the past few days, but there's never any voicemail left. I've decided to block the number using the call blocking app I found on this very site.

Some bloke claiming to be from BT openreach kept ringing me for my info. I told him to jog on, but he just kept calling until I finally blocked the number.

They called me like 9 times today, but kept hanging up as soon as I answered. I had to fake sounding like an old, concerned person just to keep them on the line. Shows who they’re really after. Same story though, I told them to just drop it and stop calling.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent on a number from Southend, saying my internet was at risk and asked if I knew about it. I quickly sussed it was a scam, chatted with him for a bit, then he just ended the call. Checked later and saw the same number had rung me four more times while I wasn’t around. So BT told me my internet was gonna be cut off in 7 days. I told the woman I’d give them a ring back, and she actually got annoyed and hung up on me, shouting “Omg!!!” She also said something like, why would I call when she was the one calling me!! Ridiculous really.

got calls from ‘open reach’ like five times today, just the same old internet trouble story. every time they end the call before explaining anything. the last few calls came from a southend number, so i asked them about the weather there, thought it might make things a bit more interesting. i can just look outside to check the weather anyway, but yeah, they still cut me off again.

A woman with an Indian accent rang my house phone from this local number saying they’d detected someone from Nigeria trying to hack into my BT internet router. She wanted to ask me a few questions that supposedly would only take 5 to 10 minutes! I said I was busy and had to leave, and she asked where I was going! I just hung up and unplugged my router (which isn’t even BT, by the way!).
