Seems like theres a bloke scamming around Coventry and now he’s switched his number to 02080898755. Watch out!

Not sure if it's just me, but I rarely get scam calls. When I do, they mostly seem to come from around Coventry, especially near Holyhead Road (seen those red dots on the map?). They always try some sneaky way to get my bank login info, but it’s pretty obvious what they’re up to. Feels like they’ve got a list of targets or something.

From what I can tell from the details here, it seems like the person ringing me is actually based in Coventry but they're using a Southend-on-Sea dialling code, 01702, to hide their real location. Sounds dodgy to me, definitely a scam. I've had calls like this before where the caller's number shows a completely different town to where they're really calling from - it's like they’re spoofing the number to make it look legit. Proper fishy behaviour!

yesterday afternoon around 2:25 pm, i got a missed call on my landline from a number i dont recognise. when i tried calling it back manually, all i got was a dead tone. i also used the 1471 service and pressed 3 to redial, but it was the same silent buzz. i've marked this number as likely a scam, just to warn others to be careful.

Yesterday afternoon, around 2:25, my landline rang while I wasn’t home. I have no clue who it was. When I tried calling back the same number using 1471, I just got a busy tone. Tried pressing 3 to auto-dial it again through 1471 and got the same dead silence. Honestly, this number looks like it could be a scam, so just giving a heads up to anyone who might get a call from it.
