I answered a call on my mobile and there was just silence on the other end. After staying on the line for a couple of minutes with no one speaking, they finally ended the call.

I’m curious who was behind this number? At first, I didn’t know it, then moments later I got another call from what looked like my own landline (which not many people have). Neither call left a voicemail, and when I tried ringing back, it just wouldn’t connect. I suppose it might have been some automatic dial from the Southend council or maybe the local health services, but I’m not certain about that.
