Cheers for the heads up about this being NatWest. These folks tend to ring us up quite a bit, claiming they're reaching out to "go over our account." Strangely enough, it’s usually just a short while after they’ve sent us a letter with the same spiel. If we need to go through our account details, we'll get in touch with them ourselves, thank you very much. This kind of business is just typical of NatWest, if you ask me. Honestly, they're probably the least reliable bank in the whole of the UK!

Received a call from someone earlier today regarding our RBS account (I’ve got four in total). They asked me to confirm the first line of our address and the postcode. I informed them that it’s not our practice to disclose such details to callers claiming to be from our bank. The representative hesitated a bit, then said, "Oh, erm, righto, have a jolly good day," and promptly hung up. That pretty much sums it up. Just a reminder, never divulge any personal information to anyone who asks over the phone or via email. I’m fairly certain they’ll ring us again, and we’ll have some cheeky banter with them next time!

Make sure you do this when you’ve got a spare moment and, naturally, when it’s a free call to landlines. This number gave us a bell repeatedly this afternoon, every ten minutes or so, starting from 9:20 and going on until around 10:26. Then, just to be cheeky, they called again at 11:23. In a fit of frustration, we decided to give them a call back at 12:28 from our landline, only to discover it's some marketing ploy for a bank! How infuriating! I've made the decision to save their contact details, so that the next time they try to reach us, we can identify them right away and swiftly end the call!

I always settle my bills promptly, so I reckon a bit of assistance from their side would be quite beneficial, especially when it comes to reviewing unrecognised calls!
