I got a call from someone claiming they were with HMRC and said there was an arrest warrant out for me over tax evasion. The weird thing is, they couldn’t even give me my own name properly. Definitely sounds like a scam.

I received a call from someone claiming to represent HM Revenue and Customs, saying there was an arrest warrant issued against me for tax evasion. When I pressed them for details, they were unable to provide my name or address. Their aggressive tone was quite alarming, and I can see how it could easily intimidate those who are more vulnerable.
