Just like the others mentioned, I got a call from an Asian lady saying there’s been a discount on my boiler service. I’m well aware it’s one of those scams, but I played along for a bit. I asked where she was calling me from, and she gave me the company name. Then I asked which town the company was located in, and she said "Crawley". So, I went on and asked what county Crawley is in, and naturally she didn’t have a clue.

Got a call from an Asian lady claiming she was fixing my old appliance, sounded like a maintenance rip-off to me.

Anyone calling about a boiler, it doesn't help to say you don't own one! They just keep ringing, sometimes even twice daily and a few times each week. So frustrating!

Got a call from an Asian lady about a 'discount' on our boiler, and she actually knew my name, address and postcode. Then she asked me to verify my bank info, but I refused. She threatened to get her manager on the line. She's called me about 7 times in 4 days now. I told her, if she had all the info already, why did she ask me to confirm anything? Then she claimed she couldn’t provide any details without me filling out a blank form. Total con, best to just hang up if this happens to you.
