Got a call from someone claiming they could lower my boiler insurance costs. When I asked who they worked for, they refused to say. I told them to stop calling and hang up, but they kept pestering me for more details. Eventually, I told them to buzz off. Then they said they already had my address and warned that they wouldn't be liable if anything bad happened to me. Got a call from 01698 457940 about boiler insurance, sounded like it was someone with an Asian accent saying they were calling from Watford. They offered boiler cover for £6.99 a month. Bit dodgy really - didn’t ask for my bank info but wanted me to go straight to my bank and transfer money into some account they gave me. The call lasted maybe 4 minutes. When I called them out on it, we ended up having a bit of a row, and the caller got pretty annoyed. I just ended up laughing and then hung up. Quite a clever little scam, if you ask me.
