I keep getting calls from a firm called The Energy Solutions Group, mostly silent ones, but when someone picks up, they actually know my name and speak with a local accent. When I try to find out how they got my number, they get quite rude and hang up. My number is ex-directory and I’m signed up with the TPS, so it makes no sense. They claim I enquired about home insulation before, but I never have, plus I live in a rented flat, so there’s no way I’d pay for that sort of thing. There’s no website for them either, and if you try calling back, no one answers. I’ve reported the silent calls to Ofcom and made a complaint to the ICO over data protection since they won’t take my details off their list. I’d advise anyone else bothered by these calls to do the same - it’s the only way to stop this nonsense.
