I got a call from a woman using a withheld number who was asking stuff about my house, like the age of the double glazing, to check if I could get funding for some ‘winter improvement scheme’. After I answered, she told me we qualified and said someone else would ring me back. Sure enough, a call came from 01698224107. It was pretty obvious it was a busy call centre with loads of background noise, probably scamming folks. When I told them I wasn’t keen on replacing windows or doors, they tried to sell me other home improvement stuff, but I just said no and ended the call.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be from a company somewhere around Motherwell. She asked for my name, then said I had chatted with one of her team members last year about installing new windows, a kitchen or bathroom. When I said I hadn’t had any conversation like that, she quickly switched to asking if I was thinking of updating any of those things. I said no and she just hung up. Sounds like a total scam to me. I never trust these cold calls - if I need anything, I do my own proper digging first.

No idea who called but I got a voicemail by accident where you could hear a bunch of men and women swearing and laughing hysterically at someone who’d apparently sent in their CV. They were going on about where the person studied and worked before. Honestly, hope that poor soul never lands a job with those lot - they sound absolutely awful. Proper unprofessional, and I was so annoyed hearing how nasty they were being.

There’s this window fitting firm out of Motherwell that keeps buzzing me (loads through the day). They even switch to private numbers to get through. Proper annoying!
