Some stranger rang me but hung up just as I was about to pick up.

I got a call from an unknown number, when I asked who it was they just hung up on me. It wasn’t clear at all who they wanted.

I picked up because the number looked familiar, same as a firm I work with. But it hung up after just three rings. Seems like they're trying to get you to ring back and hit you with pricey charges? A proper caller would give you enough time to answer or at least leave a message on the voicemail.

I finally answered the call, yet there was utter silence on the other end.

Today, on the 4th of November 2020, I was unfortunate enough to get one of those bothersome calls. There was a din in the background, reminiscent of a busy call centre, but not a soul was on the other end to chat. After roughly 15 seconds of enduring the silence, the caller hung up. It's so frustrating to be interrupted by such pointless calls!

On the 2nd of March 2020, I got three calls on my mobile from a number claiming to be from Brampton, England, but I never picked up. They didn’t bother to leave a voicemail either. I checked and the number 01697741444 isn’t listed with BT at all.
