Got a dodgy caller from Brampton who never gave a name and just asked me to press #. Luckily, Callguardian stopped them from bothering me again.

My wife's phone rang from a number that looked like it was from EE, an Indian bloke was on the line claiming he was with them. Since she’d just had a major operation, I was the one who picked up. The number seemed to come from close to the hospital she was at, which is why I bothered to answer. He kept saying he was from EE. Usually, I just ignore calls like that. Wish I’d had the chance to speak properly - I would’ve told him I knew where he was, and that the local police would be knocking soon after I hung up. Pretty sure it was a VOIP call anyway.

I got a call from this number earlier, some guy with an Indian accent saying he was from EE. Thing is, I’m not even an EE customer, so I guessed straight away it was dodgy. I thought I’d mess about a bit to see what happens. When he mentioned being connected to PC World/Currys and having access to all the networks, I challenged him - like, are you EE or PC World? Understandably, he got a bit fed up after that.

Just the usual annoying calls bothering me again.

I picked up and there was complete silence on the other end, then they just hung up without saying a word.

I didn’t pick up since I didn’t know the number, just let it go to voicemail. Later had a look and turns out it was one of those phishing calls. Reported it to Ofcom on 7726 and blocked it straight away. If it’s really important, they’d leave a message anyway!

There was that awkward pause, then some bloke with a strong accent started chatting - sounded like a call centre from the background. I just hung up straight away.

I've had a few calls from this number recently. Today, they left a voicemail but it was completely blank, probably just trying to trick me into calling back. Since cold calls are banned, I reckon this is their sneaky tactic to bypass the rules. I've blocked the number and filed a report.

Same thing just happened here, silent on the other end and then they cut me off.

About a couple of hours ago, I got a call on my mobile, but luckily my phone provider flagged it as likely spam, so I just let it ring out. Checked this site afterwards and it turns out ignoring was definitely the best move. I've now blocked the number and marked it as spam.

Picked up the phone, but no one spoke. After a really long silence, it just hung up on me. Looks like a total scam if you ask me.
