My phone buzzed just once at 7.45 in the bloody morning! Already irritating, but I have a call blocking service that tells them I’m not interested in cold calls and to press 1 if they want to keep going. They clearly did that, but then just hung up right after the ring! (Waking me up for nothing!!) They’re now on my blocked list - won’t be getting through again!

Got a call from a woman saying I’d been in a no injury accident but my car was damaged and I could claim up to £2,500 compensation. I told her that made no sense since there were no injuries and the small damage was already fixed. She just kept reading from a script, asking for personal info under the guise of data protection. I said have them ring back, then blocked the number. It's weird how they even have this info and where they get my number from. Really makes you think.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Direct Response. Said “we’re partnered with your insurance company” and started asking about an accident I supposedly had last year. Bit odd since I haven’t been behind the wheel for 5 years haha. Ended up hanging up and blocked the number.

Just like everyone else here, I got a call about a no fault claim (unfortunately I did have one). The woman wanted me to verify my name and address so she could pass me to her supervisor, but she never said what the company actually did or why they were calling. While on the phone, I looked up the company and quickly figured out it was a scam! When I asked to be taken off their call list, she refused, acting like I confirmed the accident, which I hadn't. In the end, I just ended the call. Really frustrating.

Certainly, I feel the same way today as well! I specifically requested her to remove me from her contact list and expressed my lack of desire to engage in conversation. She warned me that if I refused, they would continue contacting me! So I replied by saying, "Very well, but be prepared for the unpleasant treatment you will receive if I accidentally answer the telephone."

Got a call and they used my full name, but it wasn’t my insurance company phoning. I told them the name of my insurer but they didn’t know any info about my claim. I said if they really worked for my insurer, they’d know about my accident. They said they never claimed to be from my insurer, so I ended the call. Got a call from a woman with a Merseyside accent who knew my full name, said she was ringing from the Motor Insurance Bureau about my car being involved in an accident. I told her “No” and asked to be taken off their list. She then asked if anyone else lives with me, and again I said “No.” Next, she asked if I’d gone on a package holiday in the last 5 years. I told her I was just trying to be polite but wasn’t interested at all and to please stop calling. Then I hung up. Proper annoying, feels like they’re just fishing for ways to drum up business for some ambulance chasing lot.

Got a call today from this number but I missed it. Since I neither drive nor own a car, I simply asked her to leave me alone. This seemed to offend her, as she became quite upset and accused me of being impolite.
