Some woman from an Indian call centre rang up saying she was from some insurance and mortgage firm. She wanted to talk to a Mr Lawrence. When I told her I’m not that person, she insisted the call might still be relevant to me. She even mentioned calling a Police Station, but kept pushing regardless. It was weird and a bit annoying.

Somebody rang me up saying they were from an insurance firm, but I quickly saw through their obvious fibs and called them out as fraudsters. Instead of backing off, they just switched up their story with another whopper and kept on with the same scripted nonsense. Seriously, steer clear of these lot.

Got a call on my phone the other day. After a weirdly long silence and some noisy background chatter, a bloke with an accent I couldn't place asked if Mr Johnson was there - definitely not me. I told him he’d got the wrong number. Then there was another long pause, like he was talking to someone else, maybe a mate, and he just hung up. When I asked how they got my details, she said I’d signed up with them, which definitely isn’t true. Told her to stop calling me and then I blocked the number.
