We’re receiving calls from these folks constantly, all making the same demands. My usual response is to say, “Hang on a moment, I’ll fetch him for you.” Of course, 'him' is actually me! Then I simply leave them hanging on the line. I reckon twenty seconds is the longest they’ve managed to wait so far. Hopefully, they’ll catch on soon that I’m just having a bit of fun with them!

The caller had a distinctly northern accent and rang me at 3 PM on the 25th of January, 2011. STEER CLEAR!

It's the same old trick they've been running, and it’s been proving profitable for them over the years. This particular ruse revolves around a cancer charity, but rest assured, it won't be long before they're caught and dealt with. Typically, after they get pinched, a relative steps up to fill their shoes. Quite frankly, they're nothing but lowlife scoundrels. They mostly operate around the Greater Manchester region, including Preston and Liverpool. Stay vigilant!
