I got a call from building careers job agency, they said they’d got a new manager and were updating their records to see who's still job hunting. Sounded genuine enough, cos when I tried calling back (signal's rubbish round here so the call dropped) there were at least two people answering, and they connected me back to Liam - the same bloke who rang me first. He remembered the reason for his call, and while he was a bit pushy, he was polite enough.

I got a call from a recruitment company claiming they were just updating their records to see who’s still searching for jobs. It sounded quite genuine, even though I don’t recall ever registering with them - but my CV is out there for anyone to see anyway. There were at least a couple of people on their end, and when the line cut off and I rang back clueless about what the call was regarding, they managed to connect me to the same person again.
