Ring, ring, ring - this number just won’t take a hint! I’ve chosen not to pick up.

I got a voicemail left by someone named Lisa who said she was representing Sky Blue Education. It felt like one of those unsolicited calls, and to be honest, I had no interest in what she had to say.

Appreciate the heads up - definitely a con.

Got a voicemail from someone called Lisa claiming to be from Sky Blue Education, which she said is a national school procurement service. She left a message about some amazing business coaching deal for my local area that sounded a bit dodgy. I looked it up online and found out it’s actually a scam trying to get you to pay money, so watch out for it.

I received a ring from someone called Lisa claiming to be from Sky Blue Education. She said their team found me as a possible leadership coach for a Scotland academy. It felt off because she asked if I had any background in schools - surely they’d have checked that before calling? After a quick look on Companies House and a Google search, I saw it’s actually a procurement firm that seems to charge for listings in their directory. Also, the business has changed its name a few times lately, which always raises red flags for me. Since I get most of my gigs through word of mouth, I’ve no use for paid directories. Definitely wouldn’t get involved with them.

I’ve seen loads of complaints about them online where people call them scammers. They keep switching up their name too. They say they’re a legit company, but when I looked, they’re nowhere to be found on Companies House.

Pretty sure this was a scam just like the others. It seemed way too good to be real, which made us suspicious straight away. After a quick search on Google, we found out it definitely wasn’t legit. It sounded really convincing though, so watch out!

Got a message from Lisa at Sky Blue Education, they say they’re a nationwide procurement service working with private academies. She said I should ring back about some coaching opportunities for loads of schools in the RM11 region that they supposedly deal with. I had a quick search online and it seems dodgy to me. Found this article that sums it up well: https://michaels.me.uk/educational-hub-scam/

"Press one to answer this call." Why on earth would I do that when I have no clue who's calling or what it's about? Seems like it might be some kind of premium rate scam or something fishy. Possibly just trying to find active numbers to hound with telemarketing rubbish?
