He knew a bit about me too, which is well irritating - I reckon it’s from an old Talk Talk account of mine getting leaked. Honestly, Talk Talk should foot the bill for everyone to get call blockers if their list was leaked. I just put on some random martial arts movie sounds until he gave up and hung up. Got calls from the same number two days running, some bloke saying he was from Talk Talk. I asked him why he hadn’t asked any security questions, and he started getting a bit sniffy. I told him I’m with O2, but he brushed it off, claiming he’s from Internet Security or something. I humoured him for a bit until it lost its charm. Then I told him I don’t chat with strangers who can’t give me basic info and that was that. Total muppet!

Got a bunch of calls from this number saying they were from TalkTalk and telling me "Coventry is spying on my internet usage". I decided to humour the bloke, acting like I knew nothing about computers. Made him explain what a computer actually does, what a modem looks like, and how wireless stuff functions! Asked him to wait while I "looked around" for the modem, and after a bit, he just gave up and hung up. Might as well mess with their time when they’re bothering me!

Agreed. I am facing a similar problem where I receive numerous calls daily from the number 01691830219. The person on the other end claims to be from TalkTalk initially, but when confronted, admits to actually representing BT, SKY, and other prominent internet providers and not TalkTalk. Interestingly, she gave me a different number, 02031295897, rather than the one she called from. I warned them that I was recording our conversation and finally, after the sixth call, I told them to kindly leave me alone.

Earlier this morning, my phone received two calls from the same number. When I picked up the second call, a gentleman introduced himself as a representative from Talk-Talk. He made an alarming statement, informing me that my internet connection was experiencing issues. However, he became increasingly agitated when I simply stated that I was not encountering any problems. It was quite evident that this was indeed a scam.
