Got a call from someone pretending to be Virgin Media, saying my internet was rubbish and all over the place. I asked her what speed she reckoned I was getting, told her I actually keep an eye on it all the time (which I do) and it’s solid and fast. Then she just dropped the call πŸ˜‚

I suspect it was some sort of scam. When I picked up the phone, the person on the other end didn’t utter a word. Shortly after that, I received another call from someone with an Asian accent who asserted they were from Microsoft. They mentioned they were ringing me regarding problems with my computer.

Got a call from some bloke named John, claimed to be Indian, telling me my BT router was about to catch fire 'cause hackers supposedly accessed it through my Microsoft account. Yeah, sure, very believable...

I reckon this was a call centre scam. When I picked up, it took ages for them to say anything, and the woman on the line had an accent and didn’t immediately explain who she was or where she was ringing from. I've gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent, and you could hear a busy call centre in the background. Classic scam stuff, he said there were issues with my PC and claimed to be from Microsoft. Total rubbish.

I said hello a couple of times but got nada. Then suddenly the call just dropped. Pretty sure it’s one of those automatic dialers.
