Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent trying to pitch emergency personal alarms to my father-in-law, claiming it was a free service. But then they started asking for personal info, and out of nowhere mentioned a charge for keeping the alarm. Once we said no thanks, he just ended the call. Feels like a dodgy scam to me.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who asked for me by name. She began mentioning something about my bank and a yearly fee related to kitchen appliances. I told her I didn’t have any sort of cover for that. She kept insisting I did. When I asked her which company she meant, she stumbled and said something like "utils" but her accent made it tricky to catch. She kept talking over me, so I just ended the call. Pretty sure it was another scammer on a fresh number.
