this week i got a couple of calls warning me about a payment being taken for amazon prime. honestly, i didn’t even pay attention to the whole message and just ended the call. later, i checked my amazon account since i had tried the prime trial not long ago, but found no charges pending. that’s when it hit me, it must have been a scam.

Got a call from a recorded voice saying it was about my Amazon Prime subscription auto-renewal. It told me to press 1 if I didn't want to renew automatically. I looked up the number online and couldn’t find anything linking it to Amazon, so I’m thinking it might be a dodgy premium number trying to trick people if they press 1. Definitely be careful with calls like this.
