I got a call claiming to be from the "3" network, offering a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra for just £30, which seemed way too good to be true. I decided to ring up the genuine 3 Network and gave them the email and phone number the caller had given me - turns out, all of it was bogus. They were pretty convincing and didn’t ask for any payment straight away, but they wanted to set up a direct debit, which made me worry they planned to nick money from my bank account. On top of that, they somehow got hold of my son’s details, and now he’s been bombarded with calls too.
