Got a call from this number with a robotic voice saying my internet would be cut off today unless I pressed 1 to talk to BT or 2 to stop the service right away. I didn’t press anything and waited a bit, but just silence after that. When I dialled 1472, it showed that same number had called me. We really should warn family and friends about this, especially older folks who might panic and push a button without thinking, worried about their internet going down.
