The number had an Orpington area code, but I’ve no mates or family in that part of London. Nobody’s aware of this phone number anyway - it’s just a dummy number linked to my NOW Broadband account. They have my mobile and email for contact, so it definitely wasn’t them ringing. Even if someone I knew in Orpington somehow got hold of this landline, there’s no chance they’d call at such an ungodly hour. Total spam! Blocked that number straight away!

Got a call on our home phone from a guy claiming to be with BT, asking for me by name. He went on about a 25% discount on our next bill. I told him I wasn’t convinced and he quickly gave up and hung up. Definitely sounds dodgy and not legit. I’m gonna block the number for sure.
