I received a call that claimed to be from my internet service provider, Sky. The moment I realised I wasn't even a Sky customer, it was clear this was a scam. They attempted to gain access to my computer using some sort of EV code. I kept them on the line for nearly ten minutes, pretending to search for my glasses while putting them on hold, before I decided to hang up. I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to ring me again. The person insisted they were based in the UK, yet their accent was unmistakably Indian, and it sounded like I was in the middle of a busy scam call centre.
