total rip-off, be careful!

Some bloke called saying he was with EE. I think he found my number on my judo club’s website. He reckoned I qualified for a business plan upgrade. Told him I’m not even on a business plan, to which he said something like “oh, I can still sort you an upgrade with big savings”. I told him I don’t pay much anyway. Then he asked how much I pay - if he was legit EE, he’d already know that, right? I just said cheers and hung up. Seems like a classic ploy to get my card info and rip me off, in my opinion.

Got a call from someone claiming to be an ee account manager, saying my number was picked for a special low-cost business tariff. I’m not even with ee, so I told them I wasn’t interested and ended the call. Thankfully, they never rang back.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with EE, saying I could either get an upgrade or my bill reduced. Since I’d only recently upgraded, I was a bit wary straight away. He kept asking for my personal info but I refused to give anything. Instead, I asked if they could mail the offers to me. Not holding my breath about actually getting anything through the post!

I got a call from someone claiming to be my EE account manager. They were pretty sneaky about it, but when I tried to check who it really was, they turned out to be really rude and talked down to me.

Got a call about my phone being ready for an upgrade. After chatting for a while, the bloke finally said he’d got my number from some marketing list. Bit dodgy if you ask me.
