Got a call from some bloke with a strong accent, claimed he was from BT or summat. Turned out he was a total con artist. When I told him I didn't have BT, he flipped out and started swearing at me. Proper dodgy chap.

Got a call today around 11.54am. Yesterday, a different number rang me, 01687598473, and on Monday, I got some message saying our internet would be cut off by midday. Tried dialling 141 but couldn’t find any number to call back. People don’t seem to get how stressful these scam calls are, especially for those with health problems. We are with BT and know there’s no chance they’d just disconnect our broadband like that. Seriously, tech needs to step up and get rid of these annoying spam calls once and for all.

Got a recorded call today from a number I didn’t recognise, said in an American accent that my BT broadband would be disconnected if I didn’t press certain keys. There was a long silence between the message too. Best thing to do is just hang up, don’t press any buttons or try calling back. Got a call from some dodgy lot pretending to be from BT Broadband, pretty much an automated voice. Had a bit of fun by playing along. They claimed there was some kind of blockage messing up my internet. Then they wanted me to check my router light colours. When I asked 'which light exactly shouldnt be blinking?' they kinda stumbled and just named every colour - green, blue, red, yellow - all of them! Honestly, such an obvious con and really rubbish at it too.

Got a phone call with a recorded voice claiming to be BT, saying my internet would be cut off soon. They wanted me to press 1 or 2, but I just ignored it. Then, some guy with an Indian accent picked up and started yammering about issues with my broadband. I played along and asked for my BT customer number. I told him I’m in IT and called him out as a scammer, then asked how he could live with himself tricking folks like that. Put his number straight on BLOCK.

Got a dodgy call claiming it was BT threatening to disconnect my internet, with a recorded message first. I stayed quiet and waited, then an Indian-accented woman came on. Told her I’d already reported the number to BT, and she just hung up straight away. Honestly, BT really should sort these scams out, their support is rubbish. You’d think with the way the government’s handling things, they’d be cracking down on scam calls like this by now.
