There was an overwhelming amount of noise in the background, almost as if I was chatting with someone in a call centre.

I received a call from a robotic voice purporting to be from Amazon, urging me to press 1 to confirm a dubious order for an expensive iPhone linked to my account. It’s certainly a scam!

Got a robo-call claimed to be from Amazon, saying there was a dodgy iPhone purchase for more than £700. It told me to "Press 1" to chat with an Amazon rep. I actually pressed 1 and ended up speaking to someone abroad. Told him straight away that the phone number they mentioned isn't linked to my Amazon account, so it’s definitely a scam! Not something I’d usually do but it kinda made me feel better. I’ve blocked the number now, until they switch it up again. Same rubbish every time - if you can’t get a proper job, just start scamming people instead.
